About Us

Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with over 30 years’ industryexperience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in theWater, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industrysectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewatertreatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure,electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complexinfrastructure needed to build better communities.

About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced Business Services Managerto join our team as we embark on the next phase of growth at Abergeldie. Thisis a newly created role which will lead our payroll and accounts payable teamswhich includes 7 talented Accounts Payable and Payroll professionals (4 inAccounts Payable and 3 in Payroll). You will also have the opportunity to leadsome exciting transformation projects that will help to shape our future.

We have been on and are continuing on an exciting growth trajectory and weare growing our finance team to ensure we are set up for success for the nextphase of growth. This role will focus on driving process improvements,simplification and automation initiatives aimed at optimising efficiency andimproving customer service levels.

This role can be based in Sydney or Brisbane (with some travel required), and we are open to consideringflexible work options. Let us know in your application what you are lookingfor.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

You will have extensive experience in both payroll and accounts payable,ideally within the construction, engineering, or related sectors withexperience working in large and complex organisations. You will be anexperienced hands-on leader who is passionate about growing and developingtheir team and creating a cohesive and collaborative environment. You will haveexperience working with various ERP and Payroll systems; experience using IFSis advantageous.

We are looking for someone who is naturally curious and loves to challengethe status quo. You will always be looking at ways to streamline and automateand have a passion for continuous improvement.
